Who We Are

Welcome to arthurdev.site I care about your privacy and this is how your data is handled when you visit or interact with this site.

Comments

When you leave a comment, I collect your name, email, message, IP address, and browser info. This helps block spam and keep things safe.

If you use Gravatar, a hashed version of your email may be sent to them to check for a profile picture. If you have one, it’ll show up next to your comment.
Gravatar’s privacy policy: automattic.com/privacy

Uploading Images

If you upload photos, make sure they don’t include location data (EXIF). Others might be able to download and extract that info.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to make things smoother:

  • Commenting: You can save your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don’t have to retype them next time. These last about a year.
  • Logging in: Temporary cookies check if your browser accepts them. Login cookies help remember your login and screen settings.
  • Editing posts: A cookie may store the post ID of the article you’re editing. It doesn’t hold personal info and expires after a day.

Embedded Content

Sometimes posts include content from other sites (like YouTube, tweets, etc.). These act like you visited the original site, so they might collect data, use cookies, or track your activity, especially if you’re logged into their platform.

Sharing Your Info

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security.

Data Retention

  • Comments and their metadata are saved forever so replies can be auto-approved.
  • If account registration is enabled, your profile info is stored. You can view, edit, or delete it anytime except your username. Admins can manage it too.

Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data I’ve stored about you or request deletion. This doesn’t include data I need to keep for legal or security reasons.

Spam Protection

Comments may be checked by an automated spam detection tool to keep things clean.
